Why a tracking contract beats another dashboard
Dashboards amplify whatever naming chaos already exists. A contract reduces it.
When a product team cannot agree on what a funnel step means, buying another visualisation layer rarely helps. Two charts of the same broken events simply disagree with more polish.
A tracking contract forces the boring decisions first: which verb names the action, which properties are required, who owns the event when a screen redesign lands.
Put platform in a property, not in the event name. Prefer user intent over widget labels. Document allowed values the day the event is created.
Our Tracking Contract Workshops exist because inventory without ownership is just a longer spreadsheet.
